Cutty Sark Plastic Model
"Cutty Sark" clipper ship
Revell 15.75" (40cm) plastic model kit #5401
Box says copyright 1979
"The fastest clipper ship"
When sleek-hulled clipper ships raced home bringing cargos of tea and spices from foreign lands, the Cutty Sark was the fastest ship afloat. With her huge expanse of canvas billowing, the Cutty Sark easily outdistanced rival clipper ships and returned to port in record time. Today, as a memorial to that romantic age when men sailed the seas in their tall-masted ships, the Cutty Sark rests in dry berth at Greenwich, England -- the last remaining clipper ship.
Model is unassembled, unpainted, and believed to be complete. Box has been opened and is a little worn, but is structurally sound. The instructions have some water damage, but are clearly readable. The model itself is in perfect condition. Rigging thread is included. Virtually all plastic parts are still attached to their trees. Model is sold as-is; no refunds.
I bought this kit new as a youngster, but lost interest before I got around to assembling it. I'm finally cleaning house.
Asking $15 or best offer, plus shipping. Watch for my other plastic model sales. I'll combine shipping if one buyer takes multiple models. Model box is 15" x 10.125" x 2.5". Shipping container is 19" x 11.5" x 3".
