- Short Wheel-Base Jeep mailing list – A mailing list for discussing any and all aspects of short wheelbase Jeeps like CJ’s and Wranglers. Discussions of full-size Jeeps not welcome. Fairly low traffic. A good place for beginners to start. Plenty of knowledgeable folks to answer questions.
- Jeep Offroad mailing list – A mailing list for discussing off-roading aspects of any model Jeep. Discussions of air bags and stereos not welcome. Fairly low traffic. A good place for those new to off-roading to get their feet wet. Plenty of knowledgeable old-timers to answer technical questions. Search the JPOR archive.
- JeepTech mailing list – A mailing list for discussing technical issues of Jeeps. Designed for the Jeeper with a wrench in his hand. Trail reports not welcome. Moderate traffic. In-depth technical discussions abound. Lots of hard-core Jeepers here.
- XJ List – A mailing list for discussing any and all aspects of XJ’s (downsized Cherokees and Wagoneers) and MJ’s (Comanche pickups). I’m not on this list, so I can’t say much about it.
- Jeep-L mailing list – A mailing list for anything and everything related to Jeeps. Gobs of traffic. Low signal-to-noise ratio. Plenty of camaraderie, but many of the Jeep gods have left for the aforementioned lower-traffic lists. Search the Jeep-L archive.
- rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys – A Usenet news group similar in content to the Jeep-L mailing list.
- off-road.wanted and off-road.forsale – 4×4 classifieds on Off-Road.Com.
